Today we will introduce 5 ways to maintain bulldozers
1. Maintain proper tension on bulldozer tracks
If the track is over-tensioned, the tension of the guide wheel spring acts on the track pin and the pin sleeve, and the outer circle of the pin and the inner circle of the pin sleeve are always subject to high extrusion stress. The pin and the pin sleeve will wear prematurely during operation. At the same time, the elastic force of the guide wheel tensioning spring also acts on the guide wheel shaft and sleeve, generating a large surface contact stress, which makes the guide wheel sleeve easy to wear into a semicircle, the track pitch is easy to lengthen, and it will reduce the mechanical transmission efficiency and waste the power transmitted to the drive wheel and track by the engine.
If the track is too loose, the track is easy to detach from the guide wheel and the supporting wheel, and the track loses the correct alignment, causing the running track to fluctuate, slap, and impact, causing abnormal wear of the guide wheel and the supporting wheel. The track tension is adjusted by filling butter into the tensioning cylinder oiling nozzle or draining butter from the oil drain nozzle, and adjusting according to the standard clearance of each model. When the track segment pitch is stretched to the point where a set of track segments needs to be removed, the meshing surface of the drive wheel tooth surface and the pin sleeve will also be abnormally worn. At this time, the bulldozer maintenance method should be properly handled before the meshing condition deteriorates, such as turning over the pin and the pin sleeve, replacing the excessively worn pin and pin sleeve, and replacing the track segment assembly.
2. Keep the guide wheel position centered The misalignment of the guide wheel position has a serious impact on other parts of the walking mechanism. Therefore, adjusting the gap between the guide wheel guide plate and the track frame is the key to extending the life of the walking mechanism. When adjusting, use the gasket between the guide plate and the bearing to correct it. If the gap is large, remove the gasket; if the gap is small, add a gasket. The standard clearance is 0.5-1.0mm, and the maximum allowable clearance is 3.0mm. Turn the track pin and the pin sleeve over at the appropriate time. During the wear of the track pin and the pin sleeve, the track pitch is gradually lengthened, resulting in poor meshing between the drive wheel and the pin sleeve, resulting in damage to the pin sleeve and abnormal wear of the drive wheel tooth surface, which will cause snaking, flapping, and impact, greatly shortening the life of the walking mechanism. When the pitch cannot be restored by adjusting the tension, it is necessary to turn the track pin and the pin sleeve over to obtain the correct track pitch. There are two ways to determine the flipping of the track pin and the pin sleeve on site: one method is to check whether the track pitch is elongated by 3mm; the other method is to check whether the outer diameter of the pin sleeve is worn by 3mm.
3. Tighten the bolts and nuts in time When the bolts of the walking mechanism are loose, they are easy to break or lose, causing a series of faults. The following bolts should be checked during daily maintenance: mounting bolts of the supporting wheels and the supporting wheels, mounting bolts of the drive wheel tooth block, mounting bolts of the track shoe, mounting bolts of the supporting wheel guard plate, and mounting bolts of the diagonal brace head.
4. Timely lubrication The lubrication of the travel mechanism is very important. Many roller bearings are "burned" and scrapped because of oil leakage that was not discovered in time. It is generally believed that the following 5 places may leak oil: due to the poor or damaged O-ring between the retaining ring and the shaft, oil leaks from the outside of the retaining ring and the shaft; due to poor contact of the floating seal ring or defects in the O-ring, oil leaks from the outside of the retaining ring and the roller; due to the poor O-ring between the roller and the bushing, oil leaks from the bushing and the roller; due to the looseness of the oil filler plug or the damage of the seat hole sealed by the tapered plug, oil leaks at the oil filler plug; due to the poor O-ring, oil leaks between the cover and the roller. Therefore, you should pay attention to checking the above parts at ordinary times, and add and replace them regularly according to the lubrication cycle of each part.
5. Check cracks When maintaining a bulldozer, you should check the cracks of the travel mechanism in time, and weld and strengthen them in time.
